In January of 2001...
I was fixing Carissa's bath and she came running to me saying, "Grandma, I saw it! I saw it!" I looked at her and asked, "Saw what?" Her eyes were as big as saucers and she was really excited, "The white things!" I asked her where she saw it and she pointed towards the hallway and said it came out of the closet and went really fast into my bedroom! We talked about it and I told her how lucky we were because not very many people can see them, and they are around us because they are here to protect and help us. I told her I've seen it also and they want us to know they are here. That's why they are in the pictures.
She sat down and I was standing in the hallway and she looked at me and pointed, "Grandma, there's one standing right next to you!" I made a beeline for my camera but there wasn't anything when the film was developed.
Not long after that incident we were in the kitchen putting things together to bake a cake and she was standing at the cupboard looking for something and she came to me whispering, "Grandma, they are by the cabinet. They're really tiny." Then she said, "You know, they are everywhere... here in your apartment and they are at my house, upstairs in my bedroom." That was the first time she has ever mentioned they are in her bedroom.
It seemed like she would acknowledge their presence by letting me know they were there... for example, sitting at a table and drawing pictures on paper and she would suddenly look up towards the hallway and then look at me and say, "You know they're still here." I asked her what she saw and she described them as being very tall, white and moves fast!
I have no doubt she was seeing them as well as sensing their presence.
This has been an incredible journey for us and one that has opened many doors into the world of the paranormal or "spirit" world if you will.
If you have had similar experiences, I would like very much to hear about them or any comments you might have.
UPDATE!
We have been included in the reference section of Brad Steiger's latest book Real Ghosts, Restless Spirits, and Haunted Places.
Also....I was watching the video of our first television interview in 1995 The Other Side - Friendly Ghosts and it suddenly hit me that the medium there on the show who is Irish (I think) mentioned that Carissa was part of another baby that didn't make it through and so that spirit will be with her for the rest of her life to watch over her. AND if you look at the latest photo very closely....there's really 3 anomalies with her....the large one that seems to be protecting her, the second one at the bottom right and right in between there is a large orb. I can see it in the photo....it's interesting.
